Food

You’re welcome to stay after the volunteer day for an optional potluck lunch together 1-2pm. Please bring a vegetarian dish.

What to Expect

These volunteer days are a great opportunity to enjoy the longer days and and get your hands in the earth.

You’ll also meet our staff, Fellows and community members and learn some new skills. We warmly welcome people of all ages and abilities, including children and babies.

Wear comfy clothes you’re happy to get mucky, sturdy shoes, and bring waterproofs if rain is forecast, and a hat if it will be sunny.

Please sign up using this form and we will send you a confirmation email.

Getting here

We have a Community Rideshare Board to make carpooling and sharing cabs  from stations to Sadeh easier for our volunteers!

Our closest train stations are Orpington + Swanley (has better links to South London). You can get cabs or Ubers from either of these stations for about £12 or walk for about 1 hour.

We have plentiful parking in front of the main house.

Accessibility

We offer free rides to and from Sadeh/Orpington station on Community Volunteer Days for people with disabilities. Please get in touch with info@sadehfarm.co.uk to arrange!

We have a wide range of activities to engage in, and will always try to find ways for each visitor to get involved in a way that suits their abilities and needs. There are activities in the field and in the main house. The house has level access and we have tasks that can be done from a seated position. It has step free access and an accessible toilet. Lunch will be served in a space that is accessible to you, we can work out which that is! At any of our events you are welcome to take things at your own pace and drop in and out as you need to. Animals (service or otherwise) are welcome.

If it helps you to come, or makes your visit more enjoyable, we will try to make it happen. For more information on the spaces at Sadeh and their accessibility please check this webpage: https://sadehfarm.co.uk/access and you can email info@sadehfarm.co.uk with what might make the farm and participating at Sadeh accessible to you.
