Join us for a day of traditional jewish crafts, exploring the practical skills, traditions and forgotten stories of our heritage skills.
We will be joined by some wonderful crafts people and teachers who will be generously sharing their skills in candle making, scribing, stone carving and spinning wool for tzittzit (the fringes on the edge of a talit).
Absolutely all welcome. All classes assume no prior experience with any craft or with judaism :)
Everyone will have a chance to try two different crafts for a good enough chunk of time to make something themself properly, one in the morning one in the afternoon. With the exception of those doing stone carving which requires the whole day.

Food
We will share a potluck lunch all together, please bring a vegetarian dish to share, which doesn't contain any cheese, wine or wine vinegars.
Cost
We invite everyone to give a donation of £15 towards Sadeh's running costs.
There are additional costs on top of this accociated with different crafts, which we are asking participants to cover.
Candle making is an addtional £10
Stone carving is an additional £50, with very limited places (sold out - if you would like to be added to waitlist, note this when you purchase your ticket)
For both scribing and tzitzit spinning there is no extra cost
No one turned away for lack of funds, and equally please feel free to donate more if you have it!
How to get here
Take the fast train to Orpington from Charing Cross or London Bridge. You can get an Uber or cab from the station (ACX Cabs 0208 290 0123) to Skeet Hill House, Skeet Hill Lane, BR6 7QA
We have a Community Rideshare Board to make carpooling and sharing cabs from stations to Sadeh easier.
Access
All are welcome including children.
If you're feeling unwell with anything potentially infectious please stay home and join us another time when you feel better! Refunds available.
We have a wide range of activities to engage in, and will always try to find ways for each visitor to get involved in a way that suits their abilities and needs.
For this event our activities will mainly be in the the main house. The house has step free access and an accessible toilet.
When the weather is dry many people find the grass of the main field to be traversable on a wheelchair. This is much easier when it has been recently mowed. We are happy to mow before you come if you let us know a week in advance. We can also advise on the condition of the ground before you visit, and arrange for activities in spaces that are accessible to you.
At any of our events you are welcome to take things at your own pace and drop in and out as you need to. Animals (service or otherwise) are welcome at all our events there is space to lie down and rest if you need. More information on our access page.
